I’m not sure this story fits here on BigPlansBigCrash, but I found it pretty interesting. It seems that there was a story submitted to Digg ( a social news site ) that contained an HD DVD Key Code. HD DVD demanded that Digg take down the story and the code. Digg users decided that this was not fair and decided to take matters into their own hands. The users submitted story after story after story with the keycode all over the place. At first Digg panicked, removed every HD DVD story, and even removed their submit page (uhhh what).
In the end, Digg realized that without their users, there is no site so they allowed the story/code to be posted. They supported their users even though it make cost them legally. I am sure legal matters will ensue in the near future. Kudos to Digg on doing the right thing in the end.
I just wish the US Government would act in the same manner and actually listen to the people.
