So I thought i’d throw together a Top 10 Music Videos List. I was going to just make it a Top 5′er, but there are so many that I couldn’t narrow it down. Take a look. Keep in mind that there are a ton of great videos out there. This is just a small selection from the music I listen to…

Cat’s Take The Funniest Pictures
Ok so maybe these songs won’t get you laid, but they will make the night much more enjoyable. I have compiled a list of jukebox hits that will stun the drunkards craving sing-a-long sensations.
In no particular order:
- Don’t Stop Believing by Journey - Guys, don’t get caught singing.
- The Difference by The Wall Flowers - The chorus is easy to pick up.
- What I Got by Sublime - Really any sublime song will work, but this is most known
- Say It Ain’t So by Weezer - This song is risky. Should hit home with a younger crowd.
- Pinball Wizard by The Who - Such a great song.
- Jessie’s Girl by Rick Springfield - People will love it. Again, guys might want to avoid singing…
- One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer by George Thorogood - It’s 9 minutes long. A value play to say the least.
- Piano Man by Billy Joel - Everyone will sing along
- Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond - For the older ladies in the crowd who are grasping onto what youth they have left.
- You Shook Me All Night Long by ACDC - Classic Rock at it’s finest
These are only 10 of the many songs that will make a night at the bar. Granted, you have to play to the crowd if you want everyone to enjoy. Pick the right song for the right girl and you might just get laid.
Godspeed.

Drunk Text Messaging Is Every Man’s Downfall
I am a music snob. I’ll admit it, but I am not as bad as one of those “only indie music is worth listening to” type people. I am picky. I absolutely HATE the shit that is pushed down our throats on the radio, MTV, and other media outlets. Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of bands out there who started out small, paid their dues, and worked their way to MTV / star status. I am OK with that.

I have issues with bands who undeservingly “make it big” way too fast. They are tons of bands like this, but off the top of my head I think of Panic! At The Disco, so I will refer to them. These “artists” don’t put in the same amount of time (and usually effort) as other, more deserving bands.
Instead they kick out a CD designed to appeal to a large teenage audience (catchy hooks, off-beat lyrics, “alternative” look, etc.) and get picked up by a major label who floods this shat-tastic sound all over the TV, Radio and Internet - boom! instant popularity. It’s great that they make it to that level, but not fair to other bands who have been around for YEARS and have way more talent.
It frustrates me to see bands put everything they have into their music and barely get by. I guess that is a true testament that a band is truely about their music and their fans, not so much the money. These are the people who should be rewarded, not bands like P!ATD.
Check out this guy who goes to pop music concerts and insults people. While I don’t agree with his approach, he does spell it out pretty nicely.
Rant Over.
