My Chemical Romance - The Black ParadeI’ll start this off with the new My Chemical Romance album called “The Black Parade”. Simply put, this album is stunning. I became a closet M.C.R fan 2 years ago when “…Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge” first dropped. I would work out and run to it and the fast paced songs got the job done. Of course, a couple of months later they blew up and became everyone’s favorite MTV band. No suprise.

Back to the album. Not too many “new sounds” for the band. Tracks like “Welcome to the Black Parade”, “Mama”, and “Teenagers (my fav)” show that the band can do more than pop punk / emo / whatever the F you want to call it. If you liked their last album, or like the same kinda tunes as me, I suggest checking out “The Black Parade”.

I was killing some time today and I stumbled onto this gem. This kid gets on who wants to be a millionaire and well, I skip the explanation as it is evident. Check out his face after he realizes what he has done. HA

Told ya it was funny. What an idiot.

I went to Penn State this weekend to hang with the little brother and some friends. It was a good time. I wore my Manbaby Costume all weekend and it was a hit. I must have had 30 people ask to get their picture with me, it actually started to get annoying. I somehow managed to get up at 8am Sunday morning (after boozing well into the night) and make the long trek home. Of course on the drive home, some punk in a truck decides to merge without looking or signaling and he went right into my car. Thankfully he had big tires and only the tred from one of them scuffed the side of my car. Not a big deal really, just a pain in the ass.

All in all it was a good weekend.

This made me really excited…kinda like the time my aunt told me that I made a girl question her sexuality *true story*

Reel Big Fish has announced that their forthcoming split effort with Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer, which is set to hit shelves at a later, unannounced date, will be titled Duet All Night Long. The release will feature three cover songs from each band, and each group’s vocalist will perform alongside one another on eachother’s band’s tracks.

You kidding me? Zolof and RBF together? Hoo-rahhh solid.

Oh and there is a really solid (although lengthy) interview with Cartel up on AbsolutePunk . They have begun their rise. Chalk another one up.

Whoooo loves orange sodaa????????????

And here is what I’ve been digging on lately:

Soo I’ve thrown around this idea for a new site the last few weeks and I’ve come to the conclusion that I am going to build it. I’m sure it’ll be another soundkid, actually…I would like for it to be as big as soundkid. Christ, I had close to 800 members on that badboy. People are still joining to this day.

Anyway, on to my idea. I sat down and made of list of all the things I enjoy. Music was in the top 5, so I started to think about different music sites, what they lacked, what I would use, etc. and I came up with this:

A music tour site ( can be social networking esq, but doesn’t have to be ) where you can sign up and add all of your favorite bands to your profile. Then, each band will have a current list of their tour dates on their own page. So whenever you log in, you can have a list of all of your favorite bands, when they are coming to your area, where they are playing etc. I hate having to search different bands sites, different ticket sites, different venue sites, etc. trying to find out when a good show is coming around.

In addition, people can upload things like pics, audio, video, setlists, etc. from the show they went to as well as give it a review. Each user will have a running list of shows they have gone to and shows they are going to.

I still have to work out more specifics, but I could see it growing to the point where the site could even stream live shows as they happen, but that is wayssss down the road. Any thoughts? Suggestions? Is it a terrible idea? Keep in mind the target audience is 13-21 yr olds.

That’s all I got for now. Needed to get some thoughts out of my brain and down on paper.

Hit me back.

Wow, this feels a little weird. It’s been while since I wrote something on here and I almost forget how. Sorry for not updating in over a month everyone, but I have been busy with work and getting drunk on the weekends. It’s not easy living such a high profile lifestyle (kidding).

Soooo let’s see here. I went to Penn State last weekend to see how much it pales in comparison to Pitt and my suspicions were confirmed. Pitt > Penn State on any day of the week. But let’s be honest, Bucks County Community > both. No but really, it was a good time. I drank more than I should have, but that’s what it’s all about. Of course Monday at work, I was drained as shit and had to drink massive amounts of coffee to keep machine moving.

That should soon change as I have made a huge career decision to be unveiled at a later date….ooooohhhhhh the suspense.

I joined a hockey team two weeks ago and it is going well. We are 2-0 so far. I haven’t played in about 2 or 3 years, so I am still trying to find my way back to the golden days of Dan “bubba” Engler. Ahhh, anyone who gets the bubba reference can appreciate that. Especially Jon “Gman” Gentile. An interesting little fact: So far this season I have taken 3 shots on goal and have scored twice (one being a game winner with 2 min left). You can just call me Charlie Conway.

Charlie Conway

And that’s the face I made after I scored, when I looked in the bleachers for all of my fans.

Satisfaction.

I am trying to make it out to Pitt on Halloween weekend. If anyone wants to accompany, let me know as I wouldn’t mind cutting some toll fees.

I think Halloween is my second favorite holiday behind xmas, maybe even my favorite. Not sure why though, I just like it. Ehhh who am I kidding? Christmas is the best and here is one example why:

That’s how we reacted when we got our N64 / Huffy bike with radio attached / Omegals / My Pet Monster. Ahh I miss the childhood years.

Here is are my “power rankings” of favorite holidays (1 being least favorite and 10 being most favorite) :

  1. Valentines Day
  2. Easter
  3. Yom Kippur
  4. Hump Day
  5. Labor Day
  6. July 4th
  7. Thanksgiving
  8. New Years
  9. Halloween
  10. Christmas / Festivus

I am sure I missed some huge holiday. Oh well.

Finally, I will leave you all with a list of the stuff I have been digging on lately:

  • The Format - Dog Problems and Interventions and Lullabies
  • Chocolate Protein Shakes with Strawberries
  • Mission Hockey Skates
  • Pay Per Click Advertising
  • T-Mobile SDA
  • Blue Moon
  • Dunkin Donuts Coffee and Bran Muffin
  • Girls Gone Wild / G-String Divas

  • Fantasy Football
  • Making out with hot ass bitches while I sleep
  • KITTY AND ROXY!

There you have it. BpBc Updated. Later kids.

Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder, treason
Should ever be forgot…

What a great movie. It makes you think, it has action, agent smith runs around in a guy fawkes mask. The masterpiece I speak of is V for Vendetta. Some of you know how I am pretty picky about my movies and I only recommend the truely great ones: 40 yr old virgin, Thumbsucker, The Sting, Legend of Gatorface, etc. You know when I say to check out a movie, you better check the shit out cause it’ll be worth it. I pick winners, what can I say.

OK so off of my movie-buff ego trip. Well actually, not yet (Just call me Mike Malen…My ego knows no limit). So I’ve been digging on The Format a lot over the last few months, as many of you know. Sure enough, I get an IM from Donny saying he heard them on the radio multiple times throughout the day. Now I’m not one to toot my own horn (well ok sometimes) but I know what people like to hear…and by people I mean confused, adolescent teenage boys and girls. But yea, I call ‘em like I see ‘em and The Format is another band you can chalk up as a “Diddy told you so” band. Damn i’m good.

Now off of my ego trip and on to my beach trip. This past weekend we took a overnighter to seaside heights and it was a blast. I won’t bore you with the details, but let’s just say one of us was thrown by a wave into some chicks tatties =) . No, it wasn’t me, and yes I am so lame that grabbing a random girls boob qualifies as a great trip.

What else? What else?

I’ve been working in Oceanport, NJ for the last 2 weeks. It’s alright. The area is pretty cool and gym is really nice. They have me in this Club Med-esque gym where you have seperate towels for your face and to wipe down the machine. The 8-6:45 (we don’t do 9-5, ever.) work is kinda boring. They have my data mining right now, which is cake, but duller than malen’s sense of humor ( just kidding…we love you, michael. ) Hopefully it will pick up and I will get some larger responsibilities. If they only knew what I am capable of…

That’s all I got for now. Skyview concert this Friday night and Topsail in 2 weeks…Gonna be a good close to August.

Later kids.

Midtown fucking rocks my shit. You all should check out some of their stuff. You will thank me later. myspace.com/midtown or myspace.com/cobrastarship

Last night was a trip down to titsville, pa and boy was it a shitshow. Normally, I am uncomfortable with going to booby bars, but last night I was pretty loaded so it turned out to be a blast. I’m not going to get into the details, mainly because I think some of the things that went on are illegal in certain states. Good times were had by all (some more than others).

Not too much shaking today. World cup game at 3. I’m predicting a Germany victory 2-1, hopefully in overtime. And hopefully Christiano Ronaldo takes a swift kick to the balls, rendering him unable to get an erection for the rest of his life. Take that male model turned soccer player fag.

Yeaaa that’s all I got for now. I find out what kind of raise I am getting at the end of the month. Pretty excited about thatttt and the trip to Topsail, NC (aug 19th-25th). Good times. Later kids. Oh and I started looking for a house. Parties to follow.
