At first glance I would have to say Phoenix would win as she would simply “combust” (or whatever that move is called) the other two. But I think she would go for Superman first since he seems like the harder opponent, leaving Dumbledore the chance to use the “Avada Kedavra” curse on her. Of course we all know that isn’t Dumbledore’s style to kill. Instead he would try to contain her, which would ultimately lead in his destruction. So yea Phoenix would win hands down.
Agree to disagree?
God I’m a nerd.

Superman. No doubt. Hands down. No contest.
Bet the ranch on it.
Well if everyone did their homework on everyone involved in the battle i think that Superman (no matter how powerful he is) would be super dead….Dumbledore is a master wizard and since magic is one 1 of 2 of supermans weaknesses he’d have a hard time fighting someone who can manipulate or even kill Superman with a few spoken words….and as for the Pheonix forget it….her powers are on the level of a god…she has the ability to manipulate energy matter time and space in infinate amounts of ways…easiest way to win? use here abilities to simply create a huge chunk of cryptonite out of thin air and watch superman die…harder way…fight him man to woman guage how far he’s willing to go and simply surpass him. now pheonix vs Dumbledore might be more of a problem but i still think she could take him out by using her telepathic abilities to block him from spell casting of even using them to make him even forget that he can cast spells in the first place.
Superman? Are you kidding me? He’s got nothing on the Phoenix’s psychic powers, and no defenses against them either.
I’m sorry, but I won’t seriously consider any arguments from anyone whose name is “asdf”.
And no, I’m not kidding. Superman is God x 2. End of story.
You can’t kill the po-he-nix, it rises from the ashes.
ummmmmmm, ditka
haha well played
i don’t know what the pheonix is…is it from harry potter? and aren’t the pheonix and dumbledore friends? i think they would kill superman together, team up on him. dumbledore would just zap a shit ton of kryptonite around him and then the pheonix from what i’ve read, can somehow finish him off. flawless victory. i would be sad though. superman is hot. and i hear he’s gotta big you know.
Graber, what’s with you and “big you know whos”. That’s all you talk about anymore, you perv.
Phoenix is from Xmen. It’s Jean Grey’s subconscious that cannot be controlled. Or something like that. It’s badass.
Plus she has a big pair of you know who’s…
The Phoenix is actually a force that Jean Grey called upon while in outer space. The movie changed the story around.
Also, it seems to me that Superman would lose first. Superman is unbeatable without kryptonite in the DC universe, but there are no telepaths in the DC universe, so there’s nobody to take him down with a mental attack. Also, nothing can physically hurt Superman, but magic is magic, so if Dumbledore wanted him dead, he’d be dead. Phoenix could use Jean Grey’s telepathic abilities to bring down Superman, and then after that she would kill off Dumbledore.
Hey, I’m “You know who”! Stop talking about me.
Well, Jean Grey (Phoenix) is an Omega Level mutant, and her powers are unrivaled by any other mutant in the Marvel Universe. When you start crossing universes, that’s where it gets tricky. I am not sure of who would be comparable in powers in the DCU. So for this round, I opt for Phoenix.
WOrd, and Dumbledore is a non-factor, eh? Or Vigile doesn’t “Do” Harry Potter?
This shouldn’t be an argument at all. Superman’s only (ONLY!!) weakness is crpytonite. So unless the Omega Five level mutant Phoenix has some, she cannot defeat Superman. Dumbledore, while being a powerful wizard, would have no chance against any of them. Magic cannot stand up to Phoenix’s ability to destroy everything or Superman’s insane powers.
Actually, Superman’s only (ONLY!!) *weaknesses* are Kryptonite, AND magic, which Dumbledore happens to be the master of. I’m not saying he’d get close to beating Superman, but your ignorance in this matter, was bugging me and needed to be corrected.
As much as I love the Phoenix, I have to agree with the majority votes. Superman would win. Fact is, he was only created for that sole weakness of crpytonite. THEREFORE, even an Omega-level mutant such as the Phoenix would have a hard time bringing him down, with her ‘combust’ abilities. If a mere bullet bounces off this man’s chest, don’t you think his skin texture could go unharmed by such ‘implosions’? Either way, it would be tough, and I think Superman would get knocked around a bit, but in the end, he’d win. Less, of course, the Phoenix has some crpytonite on her. He was created with only one weakness. She was created with unlimited power. Tough, tough, tough battle.. However, if Superman even got a hold of her, he’d snap her into two, if he wants to. Not to mention, he does have distant attacks as well… So like I said, try to give him brain damage, that’s her best bet. However, I’ve seen Superman stand from things that should’ve knocked his lights out so… Good luck with that one. And the winner is….
Superman!
Phoenix. No contest. Superman shaped vapour. He powers aren’t “fire,” there is no combustion involved. Her powers are based in life-force, and she would easily absorb all of Superman’s and Dumbeldore’s.
Honestly, I think ol Dumbledore is being downplayed here. He would be the greater challenge to Phoenix–which isn’t to say he’d be much of one. But Superman would be ashes first. Dumbledore would be able to put up more in the defensive arena, but even that Avada Cadabra wouldn’t do anything to Phoenix.
Phoenix wins. Move on.
i’ve been reading comics for well over thirty years, and I have to say without a doubt superman would win.Dumbledore doesn’t even rate because superman has fought many magical beings, demons and gods and has defeated them all(Darkseid,Neron,Lord Sattanish,Kadabra, and even the spectre, just to name a few),as for pheonix, come on!when he was superboy and a member of the Legion of superheroes he was trained by Saturn girl to protect his mind from psychic attacks.plus he has battled and defeated many psychics and psionic beings and has developed an ability to protect his mind from such attacks.also keep in mind that due to his kryptonian physiology his mind is far more superior (as well as alien)than any human so pheonix would really be hard pressed to defeat him. i mean think about it like this, superman can move planets and live in the sun if he chose. But the one thing that makes Supes unbeatable is his unrelenting will to never give up.Superman will always find a way to win.
I’d have to go with Phoenix, comic and movie version (the movie version being my favorite). Since she can control things on a molecular level, she can pretty much do anything she pleases. Aside from her advanced telekinesis, her telepathy would enable her to anticipate any attack.
supperman would go like a speeding bullet towords the phinox and take here out and im sure superman can out-run spells easy so there for superman wins. I think a better fight would be Hulk vs phinox vs dumbledor
Supermar IS vulnerable to magic. Thats him done. Pheonix would kill Dumbledoor
Common people,Superman allll the way first, nothing can hurt him except kryptonite, and niether phenioxe or that other dude (who ever he is) would know that. so what superman would do first is zap pheniox with his Cold breath and burn the flame out then beat her senceless. now for the wizard common i know magic can hurt superman but he is to fast for the slow magic spells to work. so there for superman wold just pop out behind him and rip his head right off his shoulders…anyone would know that!
Okay, people, first of all let me set you straight. Superman is vulnerable to both magic and kryptonite. Next, Phoenix/Jean Grey at full power and comic version has like tons of cosmic power that manifests in the control of life energy and fire in addition to her Omega-level telekinesis and telepathy. In the movie, they switched it around where Phoenix is the dark and oppressed super-powerful side and cannot wield the true Phoenix’s fiery cosmic power. Next, Dumbledore is being downplayed, like that guy up there said. Dumbledore is one of the greatest wizards to ever live and can perform something called non-verbal spells, where he doesn’t have to say an incantation in some cases, if you have read the books. Okay, this is going to be a very very good fight. Jean Grey has the Phoenix’s fiery cosmic powers in addition to her own telepathy and telekinesis. Superman would be incredibly hard to beat but still she could beat him. Jean at pre-Phoenix levels might hold him off but would ultimatly lose. Dumbledore possesses a power that is one of Superman’s biggest weaknesses. I have to admit, Superman probably does has some psychic defense in place but there aren’t a lot of telepathic villains in DC. Superman also has beat a lot of magical villians but it was incredibly hard but I highly doubt if he has beaten Mr. Mtzyx-whatever more than twice. Dumbledore may be an old man but he is very wise and can be extremely fierce in battle. I doubt that Dumbledore can whip up some kryptonite just like that but a good Summoning Spell might do the trick. Superman would put up a very good fight and is extremely fast and strong but Dumbledore is a extremely capable wizard so he could best Superman but it would be difficult without using the Unforgivable Curses, like Crucio, Imperio, or Avada Kedavra. Now, Dumbledore has a special relationships with phoenixes as his good friend and pet, Fawkes is a phoenix. Phoenix is her own being merged with Jean Grey and could sense this. Jean is very compassionate so unless something was up and would be reluctant to outright fight and “implode” Superman or Dumbledore. To get down to the fight, Phoenix would probably win since Dumbledore is exactly young and Superman has a special weakness for magic. In a three-way battle, Dumbledore would concoct a plan and distract Superman by transfiguring a river or something into a giant serpent and would face-off with Phoenix. Jean in control of Phoenix would probably listen to what Dumbledore has to say before laying the beat down on him. Superman would quickly defeat the snake and would probably go for Jean since he would recognize that he would need his full attention to go against Dumbledore. Jean would try to vear him off path with telekinesis and throw him around a bit until she would realize that he wasn’t going down that easily. It would take luck, chance, good timing, and of course her Phoenix powers for Jean to beat Superman. Dumbledore would then fight Jean again and Jean would most likely win in the end by telepathically striking Dumbledore down since he would most likely have a solution to defend himself with her telekinesis. But then again, there is the fact that Jean could just use her telepathy to get to the bottom of this and being with two sincere good men would solve their differences. In other words, it would be a long, hard-fought battle and even if Jean lost and Superman or Dumbledore won, all of them would leave extremely weakened and maybe bruised. Dark Phoenix vs. Superman vs. Dumbledore is a different story. Dark Phoenix being completely evil and not good, Jean’s ethics and goodness would be gone. Dark Phoenix wouldn’t give a fat rat if there was a misunderstanding or not. She would have to think about which way she would like to kill them because she can fry their brains, implode them, burn them to a crisp, create a telekinetic bubble in their brains giving them a bad stroke, which would probably kill Dumbledore, or send Dumbledore or Superman flying into the depths of space or the sun. It’s a completely different story if it was Dumbledore vs. Dark Phoenix vs. Superman.
if anyone knows anything about the wizarding world they too have VERY huge defensive mind powers to AKA Occulumency(accussed in correct spelling)extremely powerful defence to psychic mind powers an stuff too so Dumbledore would put up a Hell of a fight if you asked me.
no one would win they all would die from a big blast of energy they each made
